There are plenty of “wanna-be” specialist drillers, and field based companies collecting geotechnical and environmental data under subcontract arrangements. Often the collected data is of dubious quality and it cannot be reproduced. When money is spent on field data collection and installation of piezometers and monitoring equipment it should be done wisely and carefully.
